Great Harvest Bread Co. FTW

I am so excited to be doing my first review!  And I’m even MORE excited that it’s on Great Harvest Bread Co. here in Fort Worth!!

Y’all this place is the BOMB.  First off, the owners, John and Andie, are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.  They met at TCU, have stayed in Fort Worth, and just recently made their dreams of owning a bakery come true.  Secondly, Great Harvest is a “freedom franchise” which basically means that all of the recipes and menu items are unique to your local Great Harvest which I think is the absolute coolest!! And they are always changing up their menu and baking schedules.

I went in for lunch expecting a lot of sandwich options (I mean it’s a bread company lol), but was surprised at the variety of options on their menu: sandwiches, toasts, wraps, and gourmet salads.  After what seemed like an eternity of trying to decide what to order (SO many yummy options), I went with the Roasted Carrot Tahini Salad which was protein packed and loaded with so many goodies.  Once the (giant!) salad was brought to me, I practically turned into a vacuum and inhaled every last bite in like 0.5 seconds.  IT WAS DELICIOUS! Along with my salad I had a cup of their Cuppacraft cold brew (they are one of the only suppliers of the local coffee company on Magnolia street) which was so flavorful and energizing – the perfect afternoon pick me up!

Next I went for some sweets: their classic Savannah bar with raspberry (the flavor changes every day) and a coconut raspberry muffin.  Both were to die for – so fruity and the perfect amount of sweet! Lastly, I left with a fresh-baked loaf of their Dakota seed bread that I have been LOVING!

Overall, my visit to Great Harvest was the highlight of my week.  The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was welcoming and comforting, and the people were so genuine and fun.  Great Harvest makes for the perfect study spot (they have wifi!!), lunch date, weekend breakfast, or a sweet afternoon study break! There are plenty of open spots and the lighting is so natural and homey – I sat at the bar and had a fun view of Magnolia Street. I look forward to many, many more visits to Great Harvest – especially since their fall bake schedule starts THIS week (hooray for pumpkin aka my fav!!).  Be sure to mention Hangry Hannah until the end of the day on Monday September 18th for a free baked goodie with your purchase!

Stay hangry people!
